What is English beer?
English beer is a meeting of all kinds of people who like speaking English. We meet at hotel Anna's once a month and we just sit down and talk about whatever topic comes along. You don't have to drink beer or alcohol and you are not forced to talk, but when you speak you are expected to speak English.
Why English beer?
Often people ask us for more conversation lessons, which sounds much easier than it is. Because what to talk about? You can talk about pictures or you can talk about a special topic, but still these would be quite structured conversations, which don't always reflect real life.
English beer gives you the opportunity to have more practice and experience using the language in a real-life situation.
Secondly English beer is just fun. It's nice to meet new people from different countries, to relax together and find out more about each other.
Who is invited?
EVERYONE OVER 18 who is interested in speaking English.
Usually our guests are several English teachers, under which native speakers, students from different language schools, people who lived in English speaking countries and don't want to lose the language, our Kenyan priest, tourists from all over the world just stopping by, and so on AND we hope to see YOU next month of course!
How much does it cost?
You pay for your own food and drinks, but English beer itself is for free! So in a way you can see it as free English lesson!
